Fans want Matt Damon removed from "Ocean's Eight" after his recent controversial comments on Hollywood's sexual misconduct scandals. A petition online requesting the actor's removal, first published in October, has close to 19,000 signatures. The petition says, "The all-female reboot of 'Ocean's 8' was supposed to be an empowering film for women." It cites the report that said Damon killed a 2004 New York Times story about Harvey Weinstein's alleged sexual assault and harassment. Damon has denied the report. It also cites a recent interview in which Damon said, "There's a difference between, you know, patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right? Both of those behaviors need to be confronted and eradicated, without question, but they shouldn't be conflated, right?"
