At the end of ?The Force Awakens,? she was thrown into Starkiller Base?s trash compactor.
In "The Last Jedi" she shows up for one battle and dies.
Director Rian Johnson said "The Last Jedi" is so full of plot and new characters that there was no room for Phasma.
