Director Jordan Peele is racking up awards for the race based thriller, ?Get Out.? The latest is the Stanley Kramer Award, given out by The Producers Guild of America. The Wrap reports that the annual honor acknowledges movies that "illuminate and raises public awareness of important social issues.? Pulling in over $175 million dollars at the U.S. box office, Peele made his directorial debut with "Get Out." The film teeters between comedy and horror, taking an intense look at modern day race relations through the eyes of a black man who meets his white girlfriend's family. Past winners of the Stanley Kramer Award include: ?Hotel Rwanda,? ?Precious,? and ?Loving.?
