Before Disney purchased Lucasfilm at the tail end of 2012, George Lucas begun working on his own sequel trilogy in the Star Wars galaxy, even getting concept art completed to help realize his vision. Rian Johnson's film in the franchise seems to have taken inspiration from Lucas' own work, however, as evidenced by The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which might be the only place fans can see a version of the sequel films that will never come to be.
