?The Greatest Showman? is a new musical spectacular starring Zack Efron and Hugh Jackman. The film hopes to inspire audiences with the rags-to-riches story of winking 19th century impresario P.T. Barnum. Barnum is the curator of performing animals, mythic humans, and dreams. It tells the story of how Barnum created the circus and invented 'Show Business.' The film took seven and a half years to get off the ground, For Jackman, this was a pet project close to his heart, And yet, the critics have disdain for the film. It currently holds a 41% on Rotten Tomatoes. Robert Abele of the SF Gate said "where ?The Greatest Showman? stumbles is in not having a deceptive, rascally bone in its impatient, obvious, imagination-challenged body."
