The Watergate scandal is going to become a new high-profile Netflix miniseries. George Clooney is developing the drama along with Bridge of Spies writer Matt Charman.The eight-episode series will be produced by Clooney?s Smokehouse Pictures. Clooney and his partner Grant Heslov will also serve as executive producers. The Watergate scandal occurred in June 1972 when five men were arrested for breaking into the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex in Washington D.C.
