Only days before the film hit theaters, The Last Jedi's score on Rotten Tomatoes debuted at 96%, making it the highest rating of all the films in the Star Wars saga. The film has dropped a few percentage points, now sitting at 93%, but it also earned another coveted distinction, with the Critics' Choice organization bestowing the film with its Seal of Distinction. The achievement comes from the Broadcast Film Critics Association who only award the seal to films of the highest regard, with writer/director Rian Johnson's entry into the saga earning the coveted accolade.
