Star Wars: The Last Jedi is on pace to become the second largest blockbuster opening.
According to Deadline, the latest Star Wars saga film is projected to earn upwards of $208 million during its opening weekend.
If the eighth installment of the acclaim film series beats expectations, it will beat out Jurassic World as the second-biggest opening.
However, The Last Jedi is likely to remain in second place, as The Force Awakens earned $247 million during its opening weekend two years ago.
But these blockbuster figures may be a trend presenting itself.
Perhaps the ninth installment will fill out the top three film openings ever with new Star Wars flicks.
