VIDEO : Steven S. DeKnight Completely Changed Guillermo del Toro?s Vision For Pacific Rim 2

In 2013 Guillermo del Toro released Pacific Rim and although it did was generally liked, it under performed at the domestic box office. Del Toro was also going to continue the movie by making a Pacific Rim 2 and then creating a tie-in TV series but in 2016 decided to leave that project. Steven S. DeKnight then took over the project and made something completely different than what Del Toro had envisioned. Paul Austerberry revealed that Del Toro's version of the sqeuel took place in Shanghai, then moved to the desert and finally ended up in San Francisco where the final battle was going to destroy the city.
