During the 2016 elections, a 2005 video was exposed where Donald Trump said derogatory comments towards women along with Billy Bush. While Bush got fired from the Today show, Trump went on and became president. During his first interview since the video came to light Bush told Stephen Colbert that it was a "difficult time." Bush explained to Colbert that he always thought it was a type of act Trump was portraying because he was a celebrity and if he had realized Trump was detailing a sexual assault strategy, he would have done more than simply gone along with the conversation.
