VIDEO : The First Cut Of ?Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Was Over Three Hours Long

At two and a half hours long, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is already the longest Star Wars movie.

But according to Rian Johnson, the original cut was nearly three hours.

Johnson said fans shouldn't worry though, because they are getting the best version in theaters.

?I?m really not into that. I feel like the cut is what it is because it?s the best version of the movie. So the director?s cut is the movie that?s coming out in theaters. And all the deleted scenes, no matter how much I love them, they came out for a reason, and it?s all for the greater good of the movie itself. So you can watch the deleted scenes on their own, I think that?s the way to watch them.?
