VIDEO : Susan Sarandon Says More Women Should Direct

Susan Sarandon recently spoke out about Harvey Weinstein and other powerful men who have been accused of sexual assault and harassment. In an interview with The Guardian, Sarandon criticized those who shrugged off the movie producer's behavior, explaining: "[Many people said] 'Well, that?s just Harvey? and it wasn?t a big deal ? those are the people who are perpetuating it, too." The actress said that the way to solve the problem is to give more women the power to direct and produce. She said, as a woman, "It's a tricky thing because you are selling yourself using sex, and your looks, for the most part. And I think that when you have these men in positions of power, they assume that [sex] goes along with it."
