When asked recently about his final time playing X-Men superhero Wolverine in this year's gritty hit 'Logan,' Hugh Jackman said that he knew "it's time to leave the party." After seventeen years of playing the character, beginning in 2000s 'X-Men' film, Jackman's eighth outing as Wolverine received strong praise from critics and grossed over $600 million worldwide. Film studio 20th Century Fox is hoping Jackman?s new take on the character will give ?Logan? a competitive edge in the upcoming awards season, which does not usually favor big-budget comic book films. Jackman said, ?It?s a great time for us as actors or creators of stories. I?m thrilled that the Academy is seeing that there are less boundaries in a way of what makes a really good film, and the genre shouldn?t dictate that.?
