Meek Mill has been sentenced two to 4 years in prison for violating his probation. Because of the controversial sentence many have come out in protest, including rapper Jay-Z. In an op-ed for the New York Times, Jay-Z protested Mill's sentence and called the criminal justice system "absurd." The rapper explained that he grew up seeing how black people were constantly harassed and trapped in the criminal justice system by things such as probation. Mill's legal team is appealing the decision made by the course saying that the Philadelphia judge showed "personal bias" towards Mill.
