The Tucson Police Department told the Associated Press on Thursday, November 16 that rising rapper Lil Peep died of a suspected overdose of Xanax. Lil Peep was reportedly found unresponsive on his tour bus by his manager on Wednesday, November 15, ahead of a scheduled concert in Tucson, Arizona. Following an autopsy conducted by the Pima County Medical Examiner?s Office, a statement was released stating that the suspected cause of death is a drug overdose. First Access Entertainment CEO Sarah Sennett issued a statement to The New York Times, saying, ?I am shocked and heartbroken. He had huge ambition and his career was flourishing."
