Turns out Jeff Goldblum almost wasn't in "Thor:Ragnarok" (rag-na-rock) ... even though the part was written specifically for him! Ragnarok screenwriter Eric Pearson told Yahoo! that he was told to write the lines for the Grandmaster specifically for Goldblum, but was thrown a wrench when he was later told the "Independence Day" actor might be out of the movie. Pearson didn't elaborate on whether it was a scheduling conflict or other issue .. but luckily we never had to find out because Goldblum was able to star in the movie after all. And with the rumored Thor 4, this probably won't be the last fans see of Goldblum as the Grandmaster.
