Actor Nathan Fillion will be coming back to ABC. He?s set to star in The Rookie, a drama that reunites him with Alexi Hawley, his former showrunner. Fillion will star as John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD. Inspired by a true story, the series sees Nolan leave a comfortable life to move to L.A. to pursue his dream of being a cop. Older than most rookies, Nolan must navigate the dangerous and unpredictable world of a ?young? cop. Hawley will write the script and executive produce.
