Robert Ritchie, known as ? Kid Rock," now says that he is not running for Senate in Detroit, although he previously confirmed that he was. On Howard Stern's SiriusXM show on Tuesday, he said, "I?m not running for Senate. Are you kidding me? Who couldn?t figure that out? I?m releasing a new album. I?m going on tour too." He later backtracked and said he was considering the run and would have a vote registry program at his concerts in the meantime. Ritchie was down in the polls by 18 points against Democratic incumbent Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
