Actor Jason Isaacs admitted to Digital Spy that he almost passed on his chance to play Lucius Malfoy in 'Harry Potter'. The 54-year-old actor said "I didn't audition for Lucius, I auditioned for Gilderoy Lockhart," adding that he was upset when he was asked to read for another part. Already booked to play Caption Hook in Peter Pan, Issacs didn't want to play two children's villains back to back.
