VIDEO : Katee Sackhoff To Be Next Villain In 'The Flash'?

The synopsis for The Flash episode ?Girls Night Out? bring Felicity and the villainous Blacksmith to Central City. This summer, we laid out the many villains we want in The Flash season 4. So far, The Thinker has emerged as the big bad of the season, pulling the strings of a number of new metas and setting up a version of the Injustice Society on the series. Last week also brought a new take on the living virus Kilg%re, the first part in The Thinker?s plan. Now, Blacksmith is about to make her debut.
Earlier this year, Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars Rebels) was cast as black market kingpin Amunet in The Flash season 4. In the comics, her ability to control metal sees her take the name Blacksmith as she begins confronting The Flash. Seeing as The Flash season 4 premiere teased that Amunet isn?t happy about Caitlin quitting her job at the bar, it looks as if Blacksmith may just be a Killer Frost rogue when she arrives.
We already know the episode ?Girls Nigh Out? will see Felicity come to town to celebrate Iris? impending marriage. However, with Caitlin joining them, the group will be right in the crosshairs of Sackhoff?s Amunet. For more on that, read the episode?s synopsis below:
Having received an ominous threat from her old boss, Amunet (guest star Katee Sackhoff), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) fears that her past time as Killer Frost may be back to haunt her. Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) comes to Central City to help the girls celebrate Iris?s (Candice Patton) bachelorette party, while Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and the guys take Barry out for a night on the town
Amunet Black debuted in 2001?s The Flash: Iron Heights #1 and was created by Ethan van Sciver and The Flash producer Geoff Johns. Already running a supervillain black market, her ability to shape and control metal made her a serious threat on a number of levels. There?s no telling how much her powers and look will reflect the comics, but her position in the criminal underworld will be the same on The Flash TV show.
The addition of Amunet will also help provide Caitlin with her own storyline in season 4. While she?s been underutilized for years, her emergence as Killer Frost helped to finally provide her with better material, back in season 3. Now, the prospect of her gaining her own villain with ties to what Caitlin?s been doing for the past 6 months, should help to keep the character on track.
The Flash continues next Tuesday with ?Luck Be A Lady? at 8pm on The CW. ?Girls Night Out? premieres on November 7.
