VIDEO : Los Angeles Film Festival Moving to September in 2018

The Los Angeles film festival which usually opens in the summer has announced that they will move their programming to the fall in 2018. The festival just reached a multi-year deal with Arc Light cinemas and are hoping to place themselves in a competitive time of year to premiere new films for industry audiences. LA Film Festival has long struggled to attract high profile films and garner a solid audience in June. By moving to September the festival will premiere after Venice, Telluride and Toronto and be around the same time as the New York Film Festival. Submissions for the festival will be accepted beginning in January.
