Erinn Hayes played Kevin James' wife on the first season of "Kevin Can Wait," but her character was killed off.
According to Business Insider, to Hayes' delight, her fans were outraged.
One tweeted, "If Kevin Can Wait, so can we ? for you to have a bigger career than him!"
Actor Kevin James explained, "The plot of the show didn't have enough drive."
Leah Remini , James' former "King of Queens" costar, took her spot as a series regular.
"Kevin Can Wait" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
