Over the weekend Weinstein was ousted from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as the board voted overwhelmingly = ?immediately expel?. The news of Weinsteins resignation comes as no surprise amid
the numerous allegations he faces of having sexually harassed or assaulted a number of women over three decades in the film business. Weinstein was said to have an innate talent for being an aggressive deal maker, for now the Weinstein Co is left with trying to chart a future without a man who many have called one of Hollywood?s most influential forces since the company launched in October 2005.
