Woody Allen has said he is "sad" for Harvey Weinstein and expressed worry that the sexual assault allegations coming out will "lead to a witch hunt atmosphere". These words are met with harsh criticism on social media, people are quick to point out that it appears Allen is victim blaming or siding with Weinstein over the women abused by him. People are also drawing comparisons between Allen and Weinstein as Allen has also faced sexual misconduct allegations in regards to sexually abusing his daughter Dylan when she was 7, though he was never prosecuted and has always denied the allegations. Allen called Weinstein?s situation ?very sad for everybody involved" stating that there "are no winners" in these situations.
