Todd MacFarlane, the co-creator of Marvel villain Venom, recently discussed the casting of Tom Hardy to play the character in a standalone film. While at New York Comic-Con 2017, MacFarlane said, "To me, I think Tom Hardy?s going to be as good as whatever Venom looks like. We all know Tom?s going to act. He?s going to do a good job.
