Tamagotchi, ?the original virtual pet? which entertained kids throughout the 1990s, is back to delight original fans and newcomers alike. Even though the new device is smaller than the ?90s original, it retains the same egg shape and LCD screen. The new Tamagotchis combine Western and Eastern sensibilities in that they are based on the original Japanese versions, but resemble the American devices when it comes to packaging. Pre-orders for thec, which are set to be released on November 5, are now available from various North American retailers for $14.99.
