One of Saoirse Ronan's dreams has come true. The 23-year-old actress is currently starring as Florence in a movie adaptation of Ian McEwan's "On Chesil Beach," which is a part she says she always hoped to play. Ronan previously starred in 'Atonement' - another McEwan adaptation. Director Dominic Cooke said, "I saw Saoirse in Brooklyn and I thought she was extraordinary. You can see right into her; and she's emotionally open." Set in 1962, the story follows a newlywed couple, played by Billy Howle and Ronan, who spend their honeymoon in a small hotel in Dorset. Ronan said, "They're not able to consummate their marriage. It's set right on the cusp of the sexual revolution."
