Actor Tyrese Gibson says that he and Ludacris turned down a spinoff film that would have featured their Fast and Furious characters Roman Pearce and Tej Parker. Gibson's revelation comes after news that Fast and Furious 9 is being pushed back a year. There is speculation that the film is being delayed to Dwayne the Rock Johnson and his spinoff film. Johnson?s character, Hobbs, became so popular that after The Fate of the Furious it was announced that the two would be getting their own spinoff film. Gibson took to Instagram once to announce that he and Ludacris had been offered their own spinoff, but turned it down. He wrote "what makes us great is when you see us all TOGETHER we don?t fly solo." He blamed Johnson for breaking up the ?#FastFamily.?
