The Oscar-nominated actor couldn't contain his laughter, breaking in six of his sketches. Watch Gosling break character below. The upcoming star of "Blade Runner 2049" hosted the Season 43 premiere and, despite his best effort, broke character over and over and over again. During his first hosting gig in December 2015, Gosling broke character during the now famous "Close Encounter" sketch, in which he, Cecily Strong, and Kate McKinnon shared their stories of alien abduction. The breaking started during the monologue, when Gosling reminded audience members that he "saved jazz."
