Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner died at the age of 91 on Wednesday. The entertainment icon was well known for the empire he created as well as the lavish lifestyle he lived in the infamous Playboy Mansion along with many of his girlfriends, known as Playmates. Daren Metropoulos bought the mansion for $100 million in 2016, with the condition that Hefner would remain there until his death. In 2014, Hefner's son Cooper opened up to Business Insider about what it was like growing up in the mansion. Cooper explained that while to some it was an adult fantasyland, for him it held adventures in the Grotto, a zoo full of animals, and epic games of hide-and-seek in the mansion's private redwood forest.
