While promoting his most recent movie, "mother!" director Darren Aronofsky talked about directing super hero movies. Aronofsky has a strong mainstream presence thanks to Oscar hits Black Swan and The Wrestler, so it wouldn't be too far fetched for him to tackle a superhero film. In a recent interview with CinePOP, he said: "But you never know. I mean, Superman would always be interesting. But they?re already deep into reinventing him, so that?s not going to happen for a long time.? Aronofsky also mentioned that directing one of those would be tough, given the massive audience they're made for.
