VIDEO : Matthew Vaughn Wants 'Man Of Steel 2' To Go Back To Source Material

Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn has confirmed that he was in the final stages of talks with Warner Brothers Pictures about taking the helm on "Man of Steel 2." While speaking with Collider, Vaughn admitted that his take on the Superman would be like a "modern version" of Richard Donner's classic 1978 film starring Christopher Reeves. Vaughn said, "I want to do a modern version of the Donner film. Go back to the source material. For me 'Superman' is colour, feel good, heroic. He's a beacon of light in darkness. And that's what I think Superman should be."
