Actress Kate Walsh revealed that she had a brain tumor removed two years ago. The "Grey's Anatomy" star told Cosmopolitan about her diagnosis and subsequent surgery in a candid interview. She described developing cognitive difficulties that led her to visit a doctor. After an MRI, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor which turned out to be benign. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor three days later and, after taking about nine months off to recover, dove back into work. She admitted that her diagnosis was a wake up call and part of the reason she teamed up with Cigna on a campaign to encourage yearly doctor visits.
