VIDEO : Stephen Colbert Opened The Emmys With A Dark Musical Number About The Power Of TV

The host of the 69th annual Emmys is late night talk show host Stephen Colbert. To open the show a video was played where he sang and danced in a number that addressed the dark undertones of the world thatwe forget about when binge watching TV. The song talked about war, politics, and even muscles atrophying after sitting on the couch for too long. He ended the opening number by doing a live performance of him singing and dancing in chorus line of handmaids.
