The writer himself, Stephen King was terrified by the new adaptation of his horror novel "It" This time around, the writer was not quite involved in the writing of the movie but producer Barbara Muschietti reported back that the author liked the new scary components they added into the movie. Muschietti said they received an email from King saying that the portrait woman in particular was amazing and that it scared him very much. Another scare tactic that was new was the use of the hair and blood for Beverlys fear. Muschietti said she wanted to showcase that it wasn't going to be so easy to get rid of her womanhood.
