Perhaps the success of "IT" has caused a rebirth of classic horror films or perhaps its just time but it's official. John Carpenters original 1978 classic Halloween is coming back, and yes, Jamie Lee Curtis will be on deck for all of the scary fun. Curtis will in fact reprise her iconic role of Laurie Strode in next year?s Halloween sequel. The godfather of the slasher genre, introduced the template for the faceless slasher killer in Michael Myers, as well a model for the future scream queens that would follow Curtis's portrayal. Curtis was also cast in the 1981 sequel Halloween II, in that film it was infamously reveal that Laurie was actually Michael?s sister. Curtis took a break from the franchise but returned to the delight of fans for 1998?s Halloween H20.
