Back in June, pop singer Selena Gomez underwent a kidney transplant. Gomez took to instagram to share her story. Gomez has been fighting complications from lupus, a disease where the immune system attacks its own tissues and organs. She needed a kidney transplant, and her friend Francia Raisa donated one of hers. In Gomez's heart-felt social media post, she wrote: "She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.? The singer and actress appears to be recovering smoothly, and she is currently filming a Woody Allen movie in New York.
