Daniel Dae Kim has confirmed that he will be in the new Hellboy reboot. The roll was originally given to Ed Skrein , a decision that resulted in fan outcry. The character is Japanese-American and casting Skrein prompted a whitewashing controversy. The actor quickly dropped the role and the studio promised to find someone of Japanese american decent.
