After weeks of negotiations with Warners Bros., director Patty Jenkins has closed a "precedent-setting" deal that will make her the highest-paid female filmmaker in history, Variety reports, meaning that she will officially return to direct, produce, and co-write Wonder Woman 2. At the time of Wonder Woman's release, Jenkins had only signed on to direct the first film and expected, the second time around, that she would be paid "substantially more" and "the same as a male director would receive," according to Deadline. Although the exact number has not been disclosed, sources say the historic deal will put Jenkins in the $8 million range, but doesn't include the pay in accordance to box office grosses.
