Singer-songwriter Kid Rock has called the outrage by "the extreme left"to his headlining at the opening event of a new Detroit arena "politically motivated." In a profanity-laced Facebook post, the 46-year-old supporter of President Trump wrote, "None of this would be going on if I were not thinking of running for office." In the past Rock has been criticized for incorporating the Confederate flag into his performances. Multiple civil rights groups in the predominantly black city have called for Kid Rock's concerts at the Little Caesar's Arena to be cancelled.
