The very first winner of "American Idol" thinks it's too soon for the show to return. Singer Kelly Clarkson, whose career was launched thanks to the singing competition, told Entertainment Weekly that it's far too early for the show to return ... seeing as it was only canceled by Fox in 2016. ABC has since picked up the rights to revive the show. The 35-year-old is set to be a judge on the upcoming 14th season of another reality singing competition, "The Voice." She did go on to add that she wishes nothing but the best for the "Idol" revival, saying she hopes it's super successful.
