VIDEO : George Michael's Posthumous Single Met With Mixed Reactions

An updated version of George Michael's song "Fantasy" released posthumously is receiving mixed reactions from fans. The new track, released Thursday, was remastered by producer and musician Nile Rodgers. In a statement, Rodgers said, "I was in his London living room on Dec. 23, 2016. I flew home on the 24th, and expected a call from him on the 25th. Instead, I got an alert on my phone that he was found dead. I was devastated. I only hope I've made him proud." The song, a remix of a 1990s B-side included in "Freedom! '90," premiered on Thursday on BBC Radio 2. Rodgers responsed to one person on Twitter who said they had "mixed feelings" about the new single. He wrote, "You SHOULD have mixed feelings. No one's heart was dragged through emotional ambiguity more than mine."
