Drew Goddard (?The Cabin in the Woods?) is set to write and direct the ?Deadpool? spinoff, ?X-Force,? an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
Simon Kinberg, Ryan Reynolds and Lauren Shuler Donner are producing. An offshoot of the X-Men, ?X-Force? takes a more militant and aggressive approach towards its enemies compared to the X-Men. Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool in the film.
X-Force?s first leader was the mutant Cable. Cable is currently being played by Josh Brolin in the ?Deadpool? sequel.
Goddard is no stranger to fanboy circles and is best known for launching blind superhero ?Daredevil? on Netflix. Goddard also wrote Matt Damon starrer ?The Martian,?
