VIDEO : Benedict Cumberbatch Plays Thomas Edison in 'The Current War'

On Thursday, the first trailer for historical drama 'The Current War' starring Benedict Cumberbatch as inventor Thomas Edison was released. The movie's plot focuses on Edison and Michael Shannon's wealthy engineer and businessman George Westinghouse being locked in a titanic struggle for control of the future of electricity in the United States. In addition to Cumberbarch and Shannon, actor Nicholas Hoult also appears in the movie as fellow inventor Nikola Tesla, who introduces alternating current, a competing and superior electrical system to Edison?s. The movie, which is expected to draw Oscar buzz, hits theatres November 24.
