Gal Gadot revealed that she almost played another strong, now iconic female action character. During the Hollywood Reporter?s ?Awards Chatter? podcast, Gadot recalled the acting hustle before she got the role of Wonder Woman. Gadot recalls ?I had so many almosts for big, great things, but I was never big enough of a name. It was always me and ?the big name.'? A particular high-profile moment she cited was, surprisingly, ?Mad Max: Fury Road,? where she was up for the Furiosa role, which eventually went to Charlize Theron. But, Gadot had to travel back and forth from israel with her husband and infant daughter every time she had to audition for a role. Gadot revealed that she was at a low point and almost quit acting altogether.
