VIDEO : Martin Scorsese Wants DiCaprio To Star In Joker Origin Film

Nearly a decade after Heath Ledger famously portrayed the Joker in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Returns, Warner Bros. is looking to bring the villain back to the silver screen in an origin film with Martin Scorses attached to produce. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. may have included legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, in the hopes of wrangling Leonardo DiCaprio for the titular role. So far this remains a rumor, as DiCaprio hasn?t yet received an official offer. Meanwhile, Jared Leto is set to return as the Joker in the sequel to Suicide Squad and in a freshly announced Joker/Harley Quinn spinoff.
