VIDEO : Stephen King Is Reclaiming The Rights To His Stories

Stephen King has put into motion a legal process to put the rights to his novels and short stories back into his hands. Currently, the licensing rights to a number of his stories are under the control of various studios. The rights in question are for King's 'Cat?s Eye,' 'Children of the Corn,' 'Creepshow,' 'Cujo,' 'The Dead Zone,' and 'Firestarter.'
The legal process will ensure that no future adaptations will be permissible without the author's consent. Meanwhile,three adaptations of King's stories are in the works, including Andy Muschietti?s 'IT,' J.J. Abrams' Hulu series 'Castle Rock,' and Mike Flanagan?s 'Gerald?s Game.'
