In a new interview, actor Mark Hamill says that while his character Luke Skywalker will have a bigger role in 'The Last Jedi' than Episode 7, he isn't the most integral part of the story. Hamill explained, "In this new one, I was saying to writer and director Rian Johnson: I need to know my backstory. It was kind of unclear. You read where he is now and what he's doing now and sort of have to fill in the blanks for yourself." He then added, "So I did do a backstory myself.
