According to a source for Page Six, the diamonds were real and cost over $10 million dollars. That cost includes the diamonds Swift was wearing and the ones in the bath tub. Page Six reports that the jewelry was on loan from designers, because Swift's team reportedly wanted an "over-the-top, glamorous look" for the video.
