On Monday, comedian and actor Patton Oswalt announced that his new Netflix stand up comedy special will premiere later this year in October. Oswalt?s previous Netflix special, 'Talking For Clapping', won both Emmy and Grammy awards. According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming standup event, Patton Oswalt: Annihilation, will debut on October 17. Annihilation, which was filmed earlier this summer at Chicago?s Athenaeum Theatre, will reportedly deal with the aftermath of Oswalt's wife Michelle McNamara passing away, his life as a single dad, as well as other subjects, including social media and politics.
